Environmentally friendly, synthetic lubricant promotes smooth,long-lasting operation despite extreme heat & moisture

Thorough, penetrating lubrication of the pin and bushing areas of oven chains is of utmost importance in ensuring smooth, efficient operation and long equipment life. Severe operating conditions, including extreme heat and moisture, can lead to corrosion and premature equipment failure if lubrication is inadequate.

Other costly side effects resulting from inadequate lubrication include:
    • Chain links sticking and strands of chains becoming inflexible
    • Chains becoming longer because of rough operation and wear
    • Chains jumping off sprockets, contributing to early breakage and failure
    • Electrical energy consumption increasing as the amount of friction increases

A successful oven chain lubricant has the ability to deliver the solids suspended in the lubricant carrier to the pin and bushing areas. As the carrier dissipates, only the necessary lubricating solids are left, coating the metal to prevent wear and corrosion. A good lubricant also will withstand heat over time – resisting oxidation – allowing it to last longer and continue to protect the equipment.

Almasol® Oven Chain Lubricant is the solution to trouble-free oven chain lubrication. It contains a synergistic blend of lubricating solids, including submicron-sized Almasol particles, in a specially designed synthetic carrier fluid. The environmentally friendly fluid evaporates, leaving behind a protective film of solids to lubricate chain parts without any accumulation of gum, carbon particles or other hard deposits. The protective solid film is water-resistant and reduces frictional drag over a broad temperature range in excess of the operating temperature of most ovens.

Lubrication Engineers operates under an ISO 9001 Certified Quality System.

Superior Heat Resistance Keeps Oven Chain Operating Freely

Ovenworx® H1 Syn Chain Lubricant (4061) was formulated specifically to combat the demanding conditions present with oven chain applications. In addition, it is approved for incidental food contact and contains no artificial dyes, making it a good choice for food manufacturing plants.

Oven chain efficiency is dependent upon a lubricant that can keep the chain operating freely and smoothly, fighting the ever present heat and moisture that can cause corrosion and eventually lead to premature failure of oven chain pins and bushings. Only the most robust lubricant formulations can perform in this application; it is not an area to cut corners. If the oven chain fails, output comes to a screeching halt.

In addition to this high level of protection, equipment runs more cleanly and efficiently with Ovenworx 4061, which lubricates without the need of solids. Lubricants with solids have to be stirred to keep the solids distributed within the carrier and prevent them from falling out of the suspension. Solids also can create housekeeping issues by building up over time, creating gum and gunk around the application area, especially when over-applied.

Advanced formula provides superior oxidation stability & deposit control for gas combustion turbines

Formulated specifically for use in gas combustion turbines, Endure™ Turbine Oil (6481-6482) features a unique blend of highly refined base oils and proprietary additive technology. Its advanced formula provides superior oxidative and thermal stability while preventing varnish and sludge formation on critical surfaces. Endure Turbine Oil ensures long-lasting, trouble-free performance in gas combustion turbines, minimizing unplanned outages and maximizing uptime.

Oil problems are estimated to be the cause of nearly one-fifth of all forced turbine outages, according to “A Comprehensive Guide to Industrial Turbine Lubricants,” by Afton Chemical Corp. Chief among the various mechanisms inside a turbine system that can result in degradation of the oil while in service are oxidation and thermal degradation.

    • Oxidation is the reaction of oxygen with a substance. When lubricants are exposed to oxygen, reactions occur that create new substances. For every 10°C (18°F) elevation in temperature, the rate of lubricant oxidation doubles, meaning at higher temperatures reactions speed up.
    • Thermal degradation occurs during micro-dieseling, cavitation and static discharge events, which produce very high, localized temperatures that thermally degrade the oil molecules in a lubricant.

Oxidation and thermal degradation can lead to base fluid breakdown, additive depletion, increased viscosity, varnish and sludge formation, increased acid number, increased foaming, loss of water separation properties, filter plugging, valve sticking, and rust and corrosion. Bottom line – the lubricant’s life span is shortened and equipment reliability is compromised. LE developed Endure Turbine Oil to address these problems.

Broad-Range Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil Pays for Itself with All-Weather Performance, Wear Protection and Fuel Economy

Monolec Ultra® Syn Heavy Duty Engine Oil is a multiviscosity SAE 5W-40 synthetic oil for diesel engines that delivers outstanding year-round performance, fuel efficiency and extended drains. It has been formulated to exceed API’s CK-4 technology standards focusing on engine wear protection, oxidation stability, shear stability, resistance to aeration, and compatibility with low-emission engines. With its synthetic base oil and exclusive additive package, it provides reliable lubrication – even in low temperatures – without the shear stability and viscosity problems of conventional diesel engine oils. Its high viscosity index indicates less change in viscosity over a broad temperature range.

A primary advantage of 5W-40 vs. 15W-40 engine oil is better fuel economy. In a controlled lab setting, GM 6.5L dyno testing showed a 1.5-1.6% fuel economy improvement. In addition, lowviscosity oils achieve flow quickly during cold startups. Most engine wear occurs within the first two to five minutes of starting. However, conventional low-viscosity oils have not always provided adequate oil film at operating temperatures, which resulted in increased wear and made it difficult to obtain OEM approvals. Monolec Ultra Syn eliminates this problem with its ability to flow quickly in cold weather and maintain viscosity at operating temperatures. It also meets all major OEM approvals.

Monolec Ultra® Syn Heavy Duty Engine Oil lubricates parts faster, prevents wear during operation, and decreases fuel consumption – making it the smart choice for fleet managers and owner operators who want better fuel economy and reliable low temperature performance.

  • Pails/Drums/Oil

A pure synthetic oil for high temperature applications.

Chains and conveyors which operate in high temperature environments are extremely difficult to lubricate effectively. Even the very finest petroleum oils oxidize very rapidly as temperatures climb, leaving behind deposits which are detrimental to smooth, efficient chain and conveyor operation.

To meet this severe test of lubricant technology, LE developed 9963 SYNOLEC® Lubricant. As the name implies, this special product is pure synthetic. It leaves no deposits to cause chains to bind, jump the sprocket or break, or conveyor rollers to slide or bind.

Since 9963 SYNOLEC is an oil, it can be applied easily with standard equipment . . . spray, drip applicator, or brush.

Experience has proved that 9963 SYNOLEC actually cleans off old deposits left by ordinary petroleum lubricants, and its continued use keeps chains, conveyors and bearings operating smoothly.

One of the major factors causing rough chain and conveyor operation is rust and corrosion. 9963 SYNOLEC is rust and oxidation inhibited, another strong feature for this superior lubricant.

But a lubricant must do more than just resist high temperatures and keep metal surfaces clean. It must protect against premature wear. 9963 SYNOLEC possesses excellent lubricating qualities to reduce friction and wear. And it also contains MONOLEC®, LE's exclusive wear-reducing additive.

MONOLEC creates a single (mono-molecular) lubricating layer on the metal surface, vastly increasing film strength without affecting tolerances. Forming microscopic “ball bearings,” MONOLEC allows opposing surfaces to slide by one another, greatly reducing friction, heat and wear.

While 9963 SYNOLEC was originally developed as a high-temperature chain and conveyor lubricant, it is also appropriate for sealed-for-life bearings and other high-temperature applications where an oil may be used.
